Property
An overview
Whether you are buying your first home, leasing business property or undertaking any other property related transaction, there will be a number of important issues that must be carefully considered before committing yourself. Our property lawyers will advise you on these matters and guide you through what can often be a difficult process.
The Property team is headed by Matthew Rimmer a Solicitor and Principal with the firm. Collectively the Property Team boasts over 100 years of experience in handling property matters of every shape and size and you can rest easy in the knowledge that your transaction will be handled personally by a member of the team whose contact details will be provided to you at the outset.
When deciding which solicitors to use factors such as expertise, accessibility, experience and speed of service are essential to you. Use our conveyancing online enquiry form and we will contact you with a bespoke estimate and chat about how we can best act for you in what can be daunting process.
Alternatively give us a call on 01305 768888 where we can get as much detail as possible at the outset to give you an accurate estimate of costs and timescales. Wherever possible we seek to use online tools to move the process along as quickly as possible, with digital onboarding and DocuSign used by all our fee earners without further cost to you. We consider those costs to be part and parcel of our service and enable you to get the required information to us sooner and as easily as possible, often from the comfort of your own home!

Referral fees
We do not, and never intend to, pay a referral fee to any estate agent for introducing you to us.
“No Sale – No Fee” or “No Purchase-No Fee”
We do not undertake “no sale-no fee” or “no purchase-no fee” work. Such arrangements give rise to a conflict between solicitor and client which we cannot support. The effect of such an arrangement can create a bias towards advising you to proceed with the matter, enabling the fees to be charged. Indeed this is a conflict that we feel would be in breach of our professional obligations to you.
What is a Disbursement?
Disbursements are costs which relate to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as Search fees and Land Registry fees.
